AluOxide - corundum is a mineral blasting material with a hardness of ca. 9 Mohs. It is a material suitable for blasting in closed abrasive recycling systems - blast booths with an excellent price/quality ratio. It is suitable for blasting stainless steel and non-ferrous materials. The grain has a cubic shape and a stable bulk density.

The grading is metric and the following grain sizes are commonly available:

  • 0,12 - 0,25 mm
  • 0,25 - 0,50 mm
  • 0.50 - 1.00 mm

Chemical composition: Al2O3: Min. 95 %; Fe2O3: ˂ 0.20 %; SiO2: ˂ 2 %; TiO2: ˂ 2 %
The shape of the grain: sharp-edged
Hardness: 9 Mohs
Melting point: ca. 2050 ˚C
Specific gravity: 3.9 - 4.1 g / cm3
Bulk weight: 1.4 - 2.1 g/cm3 (depending on grain size)
