Detailed description

The TROTEC® BB30 layer thickness gauge quickly and accurately defines the thickness of non-magnetic layers such as paints, varnishes and plastic, galvanized, enamelled or chrome-plated layers on ferromagnetic and non-ferromagnetic metal substrates. The sensitive dual sensor is as accurate on iron and steel as on non-ferrous metals such as aluminium, magnesium or titanium. The spring-loaded measuring head is equipped with a practical V-groove. This facilitates measurements on rounded objects such as axes or hinges, and also avoids the influence of vibrations. This measuring instrument, which can be conveniently operated with one hand, in conjunction with the included flexible probe extension, is suitable for use in hard-to-reach measuring points. The BB30 provides accurate results in the measurement range between 0 and 2,000 µm. Stored measured values and groups of values can be recalled directly in the instrument if required. Data can then be easily and cable-free transferred to a PC via Bluetooth.
