SuperMedia™1 is designed to aggressively remove coatings or contaminants and produce a high profile on both steel and concrete. The extreme surface roughness provided by this product, while too great for most coatings, is suitable for the preparation or removal of polyurethane and rubberized coatings - as well as for the removal of hazardous contaminants prior to decommissioning or disposal. The product is effective at removing 6 mm of concrete at a rate of 11 m² per hour - and leaves the ICRI CSP-7 profile without breaking the stone. Abrasive blasting with SuperMedia™1 is an effective preparation of the concrete surface prior to coating and reinforcement (with carbon fibre or other composites) - including the application of shock-absorbing coatings.
